Weekly Communications
Enjoy a weekly email with information relevant to runners as well as connect with other local runners via our Facebook groups, Twitter, and Instagram pages.
Race Entry Discounts
Striders members enjoy reduced race entry fees at many local races each year, including all Capital Striders Races! Check out the Events page for current discounts.
Merchant Discounts
Capital Striders members receive DISCOUNTS at fine area merchants, including running and fitness stores, massage therapists, chiropractors, and many more. Check out all of our sponsors below!
Club Events
The New Year's Day Run and Potluck, Summer Picnic, Annual Meeting and Banquet, and other special events are just some of the activities sponsored by the club. Head to the Events page for more details.
Group Training Runs
You'll be able to fit our training runs into your schedule, as we offer them each day, Saturday through Thursday (enjoy your Friday off!!). These runs are available to all members. Meet new friends, socialize and get your miles in. Check out the Training page for more info.
Support the Community
Your membership dues allow the Striders to give back to the Greater Des Moines community in a variety of ways including college scholarships.

Individual: $30/year
Family: $50/year
Plus, you can add a Sustaining Membership: $25+/year

The Capital Striders Corporate Sponsorship Program provides an opportunity for businesses and organizations to assist us with our mission to promote and encourage running through the education of the community on the benefits of physical fitness and amateur sport. Corporate Sponsorships are for the current calendar year and help defray the administrative costs of running the Club and hosting our races: Capital Pursuit and Loop the Lake (road races) and Sycamore 8 and To Grandmothers House We Go (trail races). This allows us to give back more to the community in the form of scholarships, supporting youth track clubs, educational programs, and much more. Sponsorship can be a cash donation or an in-kind contribution.
